Jonathan Blount is a native Philadelphian. He began
to pursue his artistic disposition during high school.
At first, Jon decided to develop his creativity by becoming
a pastry chef but he soon realized that he needed to
change from cake to canvas.
Jon’s early oils were expressions of his inner
voice, translating what he was feeling and hearing internally
into paint. As Jon matured, he realized that he loved
painting and drawing the male form. He describes his
approach to artistically rendering the male form as
starting with shadow and working into the light.
